As strong winds continue in Jeju, 474 Chinese fishing boats have been evacuated from the sea near Hwasun Port in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo City for the second day.

The fishing boats were fishing near a fishing agreement ship south of Jeju Island and were evacuated when the weather deteriorated, with waves reaching very high by more than 5 meters.

The Coast Guard ordered some of the 524 ships that applied for evacuation in advance to evacuate to Chinese waters due to exceeding management standards.

A Coast Guard official said, "Chinese fishing boats that are being evacuated are expected to leave the port when the wind and waves warning, which was in effect in the far south of Jeju Island, is changed to a warning or lifted."Under the

Korea-China Fisheries Agreement, if it is necessary to evacuate due to bad weather or emergency, you may contact the authorities of the other country and evacuate to a port.
