■ International Monetary Fund Annual Consultation Results, 10:00 Briefing, Seoul Government Complex

The International Monetary Fund, IMF briefs on the results of annual consultations with our country.

While domestic demand is hardly recovering, we will diagnose the Korean economy and financial situation and give advice ahead of the Trump administration's inauguration.

■ Producer prices fall for three months on falling vegetable prices
Producer prices, a leading indicator of consumer prices
, fell for three consecutive months until last month.

The BOK said producer prices fell 0.1% last month from the previous month.

Industrial products rose 0.2% mainly on coal and petroleum products, but agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products fell 8.7%.

■ Financial Supervisory Service convenes banks due to currency instability...Foreign exchange risk check
As the foreign exchange market fluctuates due to the so-called Trump shock, financial authorities start inspecting the banking sector.

The Financial Supervisory Service will hold a meeting today (20th) to check the foreign currency liquidity situation by inviting executives in charge of foreign exchange and funds from 10 domestic branches of commercial banks and foreign banks.
