Starting next year, May 15 will be celebrated as 'King Sejong's Day' and May 27 will be celebrated as 'Space Aviation Day'.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced on the 19th that a revision to the "Regulations on Various Anniversaries" containing these contents was approved at the Cabinet meeting.

King Sejong's Nassin Day, established on May 15, 1397, was designated to inherit and develop King Sejong's patriotic ideology, independence, and practical spirit.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Heritage Administration will hold various commemorative events to mark King Sejong's Day on May 15 every year. In particular, the Sejong Culture Award ceremony, which was held during Hangul Week (October 4th to October 10th), will be held on King Sejong's birthday, and various events such as the Sungmo Festival will be promoted to commemorate King Sejong's feat.

The "Space Aviation Day," which was established based on the opening date of the National Aeronautics Administration, was designated to realize one of the top five aerospace powerhouses and lead the future era of the aerospace economy.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration plans to plan a commemorative event linking science, technology, and cultural programs on the first National Aeronautics Day next year and try to expand the base of aerospace culture.
