Mexico, Canada and China became busy as Trump predicted a tariff bomb on his first day in office.

While contacting Trump's transition team, he has started preparing for the "Trump era" by preparing a counterattack card.

In response to Trump's 25% tariff notice, Mexican President Shanebaum says he has been in contact with Trump's side.If the

'tariff bomb' goes ahead, Mexico will also impose retaliatory tariffs, warning that the U.S. will end up shooting itself in the foot.

Canada's Prime Minister Trudeau says he had a phone conversation with Trump over tariffs and had a good conversation.

Internally, he stressed that he would be fully prepared to overcome adversity, citing his experience responding with counter-tariffs during Trump's first term.

China has urged Trump to talk, saying there is no winner in the tariff war.

There are also concerns within the U.S. that "Trump tariffs" will raise consumer prices from cars to groceries one after another.

Trump nominated Greer, who was at the forefront of the "tariff war" in the first administration, as the trade representative, signaling that the "tariff bomb" would not stop at words.

However, given that it was two months before he took office and that illegal immigration and drug inflows were cited as reasons for tariffs, some observers say that Trump may have thrown tariffs as a "negotiation tool."
