Ruling Party "Prosecution Impeachment Is Madness...Argument for Lee Jae-myung"

The People's Power criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's push for impeachment of prosecutors is close to "madness" and that it is trying to make the impeachment hearing a forum for representative Lee Jae-myung.

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho said at the Supreme Council, "The prosecutors Kang Vaccine and Um Hee-joon, who the Democratic Party announced the impeachment hearing, are the prosecutors who investigated suspicions of Daejang-dong and Baekhyun-dong involving Lee."

He then pointed out that the prosecutor's impeachment is aimed at systematically interfering with the investigation and prosecution of Democratic lawmakers, including maintaining the prosecution of Lee's second trial and the money envelope case.

Supreme Council member Jang Dong-hyuk also asked back, saying that the prosecutor's impeachment is a clear retaliation impeachment and obstruction of justice, meaning that Lee's "politics of saving people" means that he will kill everything and live alone.

Earlier, the Democratic Party of Korea announced the impeachment of three prosecutors at next month's plenary session, citing the acquittal of Kim Gun-hee on suspicion of stock price manipulation, and also decided to hold impeachment hearings for two other prosecutors yesterday (27th).
