The Democratic Party of Korea expressed deep regret over the fact that Cho Kuk, the former leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, was sentenced to two years in prison.
Spokesperson Park Kyung-mi said in a briefing, "I feel deeply sorry for former representative Cho, who accepted the ruling even after being victimized by abuse of prosecution power."
The prosecution then pointed out that it showed a double standard of destroying Cho with a stupid sword dance while consistent with Kim Gun-hee's suspicions, and pointed out whether he is qualified to stand proudly in front of the people.
