President Yoon Suk Yeol has asked Korean compatriots living in Singapore to serve as a bridge for South Korea and Singapore to take a bigger leap forward, ahead of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

President Yoon, who attended a luncheon meeting with Korean residents in Singapore today (9th), said that the two countries will expand security cooperation in future areas such as high-tech beyond trade and investment.

At the same time, he emphasized that he will further develop friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries so that they can be a great help to their compatriots.

President Yoon also thanked Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong for his hospitality on social media and said he hoped the ties between the two countries would be stronger.
