The main vote for the October 16 by-elections, which will select four heads of local governments and the superintendent of education in Seoul, will be held this week.

In particular, the battle between Suseong or recapture is fierce in Busan, where the ruling party has traditionally been strong, and Honam, the support base of the Democratic Party.

When the opposition party's support rose from Geumjeong, Busan, the stronghold of the ruling party, Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, fired four times.

Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung also visited Busan one after another and shouted "regime judgment," while Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, who participated in the unification, also predicted his joining.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of the People's Power (last 5 days): We also do political strife when we have to. But this local election is not a place to do that.

[Lee Jae-myung / Democratic Party leader (last 12th): If you still don't know why you were judged in the general election, you must take this opportunity to make a second judgment.]

Initially, it was expected to be a "mini-by-elections," but now the situation has grown to the level of a "national election,"

The ruling party is concerned about the election impact of Kim Gun-hee's controversy, while appealing to votes by highlighting the controversy over the misrepresentation of Kim Young-bae of the Democratic Party.

[Han Ji-ah / Senior spokesman for People's Power: I will do politics different from the Democratic Party, which makes people displeased with Geumjeong residents by blurring the election board with hasty words and insults.]

The opposition party, which defined the by-elections early on through the "referee election," also focused on public opinion by linking the election to the anniversary of the Buma Uprising on October 16.

[Kim Min-seok / Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea: The October 16 by-elections, the anniversary of the Buma Uprising, is a confirmation and re-judgment of the Yoon administration.]

In Jeollanam-do, which recorded a higher early voting rate than in the general election, the internal struggle within the opposition party is fierce.

In particular, in the glory of the three-way battle between the Democratic Party, the Innovation Party and the Progressive Party, there are concerns over overheating, leading to suspicions of "carrying voters" or "spreading money" between election campaigns.

The parliamentary audit, which has entered its second week, is also expected to affect the votes of the by-elections.

In particular, the opposition party, which will question Kim Gun-hee's allegations, and the ruling party, which is trying to highlight Lee Jae-myung's judicial risk, are expected to face off again in the parliamentary inspection of Gyeonggi Province by the Judiciary Committee's Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and the Public Administration and Security Committee.

Due to the nature of by-elections, which are held on non-holiday days, many say that winning or losing depends on how much voters can attract to the polls.

The leaders of the ruling and opposition parties are also paying attention to the turnout and putting all their lives on the gathering of supporters.
