North Korea, which claims that a South Korean drone penetrated Pyongyang, is raising its threat level.

"We believe that South Korean military forces participated in the unmanned aerial vehicle provocation," a spokesman for North Korea's Ministry of National Defense said in a statement, adding that if drones appear again, they will consider them a declaration of war and "act according to our judgment."

Kim Yo-jong, the younger brother of Kim Jong-un, also issued a separate statement calling on the South Korean government to come up with measures to prevent a recurrence.

Vice Minister Kim Yo-jung said, "We still haven't been able to properly judge the situation," adding, "We need to quickly ensure the prevention of the recurrence of provocative acts that invade the airspace of other countries."

Earlier, the Korean Central News Agency reported yesterday (13th) that the North Korean People's Army had ordered artillery units near the border to be fully prepared for firing and increased the number of Pyongyang air defense guard posts, responding to the possibility of additional infiltration by South Korean drones into Pyongyang.

According to the news agency, the General Staff of the People's Army ordered eight fully armed artillery brigades to be on standby by 20:00 on the 13th and completed various operational security projects.

The General Staff ordered units at all levels to take thorough measures, assuming that South Korean drones hit targets in case they cross the border again, and that armed conflict would expand as a result.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that South Korea's provocation of grave sovereignty infringement on the capital Pyongyang is creating a serious military tension.

North Korea claimed that South Korean drones penetrated Pyongyang on the 3rd, 9th and 10th and distributed leaflets to the North, but the South Korean military says it cannot "confirm" the facts.
