The operation of the Yeongpyeong Training Center in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, where the U.S. Forces Korea's shooting training was limited or suspended due to complaints from residents, has been normalized in more than six years.

The Ministry of National Defense said today (14th) that the 5th Corps, Pocheon City, and local pan-citizens' countermeasures committee have signed a memorandum of understanding that includes guaranteeing the training of all U.S. troops in Korea.

Under the signing of the memorandum of understanding, all U.S. troops in South Korea, including Apache helicopter shooting exercises, will be normalized, about six years after the bullet-bouncing accident in 2018.

The Ministry of National Defense also plans to expedite the construction of a regional complex cultural sports center that can be used jointly by the public and the military nearby.
