In the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee's parliamentary audit of the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, the National Medical Center, and the National Cancer Center, the ruling and opposition parties expressed concern about the public medical vacuum caused by the departure of their majors.

People's Power lawmakers asked for countermeasures, saying that the ratio of majors to the total number of doctors at the National Cancer Center is 27%, which is very low compared to other institutions, but the situation has lowered the hospital bed utilization rate and increased the waiting time for surgery.

The Democratic Party of Korea lawmakers expressed concern, saying that the number of requests from other medical institutions to the Central Emergency Medical Center increased significantly after the departure of the major, while the actual number of transfers did not increase significantly.
