In the past five years, 26 executives of Saemaul Geumgo have been found to have retired due to the discovery of a history of "financial criminals."

According to the data received by Wi Sung-gon of the Democratic Party of Korea, a member of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, 61 executives of Saemaul Geumgo were found to be disqualified from 2019 to last year.

Of these, 26 people, or 42.6%, retired due to their financial criminal history.

In May, a Saemaul Geumgo executive participated in illegal loans worth more than 70 billion won and the branch went bankrupt, pointing out that their moral hazard is serious.
