North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported that North Korean State Councilor Kim Jong-un visited a flood recovery site in Jagang Province for the first time in three months after a flood in the Yalu River basin in late July to find out more about the progress of housing construction.

After pointing out that the bias that still belittles the quality of the construction should be corrected, Chairman Kim ordered that the delay in the construction of the house should not interfere with the lives of residents and students in flood-stricken areas in Pyongyang.

The KCNA said the secretariat of the party's Central Committee had decided to send a new head of the command and political director at the damage recovery site in Jagang Province, but it has remained silent about sending troops to Ukraine.
