Our stock market also started lower due to bad news from the Middle East.

Overnight plunge in U.S. tech stocks,

Samsung Electronics sank below 60,000 won shortly after the opening. It is the first time in a year and seven months that the disgrace of

'50,000 electronics' has been rekindled since March last year.

Although it reduced its intraday decline, it did not avoid a downward close.

The KOSPI closed lower as large semiconductor stocks such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix slid one after another.

However, contrary to concerns, the fall was not significant.

[Ju Won / Head of Economic Research at Hyundai Research Institute: We experienced a lot in the Korean stock market in April this year, and the market is quite resistant, and the influence on risks in the Middle East is gradually decreasing in the global market..]

The preference for safe assets has sent the U.S. dollar soaring.

The won-dollar exchange rate continued to rise after opening with a surge of more than 10 won.

International oil prices also rose, with the government diagnosing increased market volatility.

[Choi Sang-mok / Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance: Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel. Tensions in the Middle East have increased global stock markets and international oil volatility.

The impact from the Middle East is limited, but he stressed that he will respond quickly if necessary with a high sense of alertness.
