With the cool autumn breeze, unique festivals are being held throughout the region.

In Gimje, Jeollabuk-do, the only land of abundance where you can see the horizon, a horizon festival was held to wish for a good harvest by experiencing traditional agricultural culture.

There is an issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Seo Jihyun!

You can experience various rural areas there?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

The experience of catching grasshoppers is in full swing here.

In the golden field, cute locusts are jumping around.

I'm a little scared because it's my first time catching grasshoppers, but children are good at catching grasshoppers without fear.

It is the appearance of carrying precious locusts that have been caught with difficulty in a collection container.

The Gimje Horizon Festival, which opened for the 26th time this year, is a venue to promote the forgotten traditional farming culture of our people to the world. You can not only experience traditional agricultural equipment such as

'Yongdure' and 'Yeokdure', but also cut rice and make rice yourself.

The experience of catching locusts in the golden Gimje plain is popular with all family members.

You can also enjoy traditional experiences unique to Gimje.

You can fly a non-powered plane called Biggar, which is said to have been made by Jeongpyeong-gu, a military officer from Gimje, and learn the spirit of Gimje's scholar at a traditional school.

In addition, there are a variety of programs, such as a zip line that burns on a beautifully decorated paddy field and an air bounce enjoyed in a playground made of rice straw.

Then let's listen to the stories of citizens who are enjoying the festival.

[Kim Na-eun, Oh Se-hyun / Hyoja-dong, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do: It was very hard to find grasshoppers. But I found it easily, but I think it's running away too fast.]

This festival is a '5 Moo' festival without trash, rip-off charges, safety accidents, unkindness, and excessive protocol, which lasts for five days from today to the 6th.

You can also enjoy nine representative restaurants selected by holding a food fair and a variety of local-specific foods.

There will also be various events such as standing tug-of-war, Ssangryongnori, and multimedia shows representing the festival.

Koreans need rice.

It would be nice to enjoy the traditional agricultural culture, the source of our power, and make rich autumn memories that will be reassuring until next year.

So far, I'm Seo Ji-hyun of YTN at the Gimje Horizon Festival in Jeollabuk-do.
