At around 1:40 a.m. today (24th), a fire broke out in a restaurant on the second floor of a commercial building with nine floors above ground and two floors below ground in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
Considering that it is a multi-use facility, the fire authorities issued the first stage of firefighting response to mobilize 31 to 50 equipment, including nearby fire departments, to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured, but more than 20 people had to evacuate in the middle of the night from accommodations located in the building on fire.
Fire authorities believe the refrigerator installed in the kitchen of the restaurant caught fire due to electrical factors.
