A large Protestant rally in downtown Seoul...traffic congestion forecast

At 2 p.m. today (27th), the Korean Protestant Association will hold a rally against the legalization of same-sex marriage and the enactment of anti-discrimination laws in 17 sections of nine roads, including Sejong-daero and Yeouido-daero in Seoul.

While organizers expect 1 million believers to gather, police say some roads in the city and Yeouido areas are blocked, which is expected to lead to severe traffic congestion.

The police plan to deploy 200 traffic police officers around the rally site to manage traffic, including bypassing vehicles.
