Israeli forces have launched airstrikes in eastern Lebanon's Becca Valley and southern Tyre, targeting pro-Iranian militant group Hezbollah.

Lebanon's state-run NNA news agency reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the town of Temnin in the Becca region on the morning of the 17th local time, and the area of Alhush near Tyre was also attacked around noon.

Prior to the raid, Israeli forces posted a map on social media specifically showing some of the buildings targeted, warning locals to "evacuate out of 500m."

The Israeli military says it has killed Hussain Muhammad Awada, commander of the Hezbollah battalion in southern Lebanon, and Jalal Mustafa Hariri, commander of the Cana region.

"In the past day, we have eliminated over 45 Hezbollah terrorists and destroyed over 150 weapons storage and rocket launchers," the Israeli military said.

In particular, a building in Beirut, Lebanon's capital, which houses the offices of the Norwegian Embassy and the Al Jazeera Broadcasting Office in the Arab world, was warned to evacuate people, the Associated Press said.

Al Jazeera also said in a separate statement that it had been evacuated following the warning but did not say from whom it had received the warning.
