"Meta Fires Employees Who Bought Toothpaste With Food Subsidy"

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has fired an employee who bought toothpaste or detergent with the company's funding for food, the BBC reported.

The anonymous community blind of office workers posted that 30 employees who bought household goods with vouchers, shared food expenses with others, and exceeded the limit were fired last week.

They stopped violating the rules after being warned by the company, but were fired three months later, the author claimed.

However, some users claimed there was no warning, the BBC added.

Meta employees will be provided with a voucher worth $70 a day for food delivery apps and 96,000 won worth of our money.
