Israeli forces attacked Hezbollah's intelligence command and underground weapons facilities in southern Lebanon's capital Beirut on the 20th, foreign media reported.

"Earlier in the morning, the air force carried out airstrikes on the Hezbollah intelligence unit headquarters and underground weapons workshops in Beirut," the Israeli military said in a statement.

Lebanese state media earlier said there had been two Israeli airstrikes in Dahiye, a Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut's southern suburbs, earlier in the day.

He added that one of them hit the residential building of Harrette Hrake near the mosque and hospital.

Prior to the raid, Israeli forces issued an emergency warning on Telegram to immediately evacuate residents living near Hezbollah-linked buildings in the area.

The airstrike came a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's home in the Israeli coastal city of Caesar was attacked by a drone the day before.

Hezbollah has refused to accept responsibility for the attack, but Netanyahu warned in a statement that "hezbollah who tried to assassinate me and my wife made a grave mistake" and that "anyone who tries to hurt Israeli citizens will pay a heavy price."
