Iranian President Masud Pejeshikan told Vladimir Putin that "all sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran and Russia can be neutralized together."

"I am confident that the two countries will soon be able to sign an agreement to establish a 'strategic partnership' relationship," President Pejeshikyan met with Putin on the occasion of the BRICS summit on the 23rd local time.

"The two countries must cooperate with each other in the fields of economy, politics, culture, science and technology while preventing the West from dominating the world," he added.

Putin also responded, "Russia and Iran have similar or completely consistent approaches to the global agenda," adding, "The two countries are united in their desire to establish a fair multipolar order to uphold international norms and protect the central role of the United Nations."
