"I'm ashamed that I'm at my age now that I'm 60 years old, but I've completed my first movie in the lead role."Actor Lee Byung-joon, who is famous for his luxurious supporting roles in

Netflix 'The Glory' and JTBC's 'The Youngest Son of a Beacon', has started promoting by sending a handwritten letter to reporters ahead of the release of his first major movie in his life.

Recently, Lee Byung-joon sent an e-mail containing a handwritten letter to about 50 reporters ahead of the premiere of his first movie, "City of Cain." It has been confirmed that he sent letters to movie reporters who search for articles with movie-related keywords such as "Film Festival".

It is very unusual for an actor to deliver related information to a reporter through a handwritten letter ahead of the movie's release.

In the letter, Lee Byung-joon said, "I didn't know about the theater stage that I enjoyed when I was 20 years younger, and the life of a movie star, which started as a minor role in 'Eternal Empire' in 1995, honestly."

"Thankfully, I've been standing in front of the stage and the camera since I started walking like that," he said. "Looking back, it was possible because of the support of many people, and although there have been many twists and turns and difficulties, I was able to continue walking on my path thanks to the warm support of those who are grateful."

"I'm ashamed that I'm at my current age after 60 kanji circled, but I've completed a movie that I'm starring in for the first time," he added. "We'd like to hold a preview and a GV before the release at the end of April (next year), and I'd like to ask you to attend."

"City of Cain" is a thriller about fake news, school violence, and youth drugs. Lee Byung-joon played the role of reporter Kang Hyun-soo, who was investigated by the prosecution for reporting on fake reports.
