He was 75 years old and is believed to have died from hyperglycemic shock.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul said Kim was taken to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital at around 8 a.m. today in cardiac arrest, but was pronounced dead.

Kim was found unconscious by his son at his home in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu this morning and was taken to a hospital.

Kim, who was born in 1949, debuted as an MBC open talent in 1971 and appeared in a variety of works, including the national drama "The Warring States Diary" and the movie "The Glory of the Family."
