Actors Shin-gu and Kang Bu-ja are popular culture artists, and they will be honored with the Eungwan Order of Culture this year.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that actors Shin-gu and Kang Bu-ja will receive the Eungwan Order of Cultural Merit, musician Kim Chang-wan and broadcast writer Lim Ki-hong will receive the Archive Order of Cultural Merit, singer Lee Moon-se will receive the Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit, and actor Choi Soo-jong will receive the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit at this year's Popular Culture Awards ceremony.

A total of 31 popular culture artists will be awarded medals and commendations, including film director Kim Han-min, actors Yeom Hye-ran and Cho Jung-seok.

Actor Shin Gu made his debut in 1962 with the play "So" and has been loved by viewers in movies and dramas for more than 60 years, while Kang Bu-ja has shown high-quality acting through dramas such as "Bathroom Men" and plays.

The Popular Culture and Arts Awards, which mark its 15th anniversary this year, is a government award designed to increase the social status and creative motivation of singers, actors, comedians, and broadcast writers.

The award ceremony will be held at the National Theater of Korea Haeoreum on the 31st and will be broadcast live on the Korea Creative Content Agency and 'The K-Pop' YouTube channel.
