Accounting in his 40s sentenced to prison for embezzling hundreds of millions of won in taxi union funds

The Cheongju District Court sentenced A, in his 40s, to three years in prison for embezzling hundreds of millions of won from a private taxi association.

The court judged that the crime was not good, such as not being forgiven by the victims' union and using the embezzlement amount to pay off personal debts.

Mr. A is accused of stealing 1.2 billion won from the union's account for 8 years from 2016.
