Gapyeong County pushes to establish cultural foundation...Target for launch in 2027

Gapyeong County announced that it will push for the establishment of a cultural foundation with the aim of launching it in 2027.

To this end, we plan to conduct basic feasibility studies such as analysis of the current status and conditions of Gapyeong culture and art in March next year.

It also plans to request Gyeonggi-do Province and specialized institutions to review the feasibility in 2026 and establish a cultural foundation after deliberation by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in 2027.

Gapyeong-gun plans to entrust the Cultural Foundation with the consignment operation of cultural infrastructure such as literary centers, music stations 1939, and video media centers, cultural promotion projects, and public offering projects in central government and Gyeonggi-do.

Currently, 22 out of 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-do have cultural foundations.
