President Yoon Suk Yeol exercised his right to demand reconsideration, or veto, against the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Act, the Chae Sang-byung Special Prosecutor Act, and the Local Currency Act, which were enforced by the opposition party.

Former presidential office spokesman Chung Hye held a briefing and said it is an obligation and a duty for the president to exercise his right to request reconsideration of unconstitutional and illegal legislation.

Spokesman Chung pointed out that the bill clearly revealed the opposition party's intention to lead the investigation into the Kim Special Prosecutor Act and the Chae Sang-byung Special Prosecutor Act, and deprived the president of his right to appoint a special prosecutor by allowing the opposition party to appoint a special prosecutor.

It also said that the Local Currency Act has problems such as undermining local autonomy by forcing the state to provide financial support.

He then criticized the opposition party, saying that it is the current state of the opposition to pass such a bill full of unconstitutional and illegal possibilities, and that it is feared to be recorded as a "constitutional party together," not the Democratic Party of Korea.

As President Yoon re-requested these three bills, the number of bills that have been vetoed since taking office has increased to 24.The

Kim Special Counsel Act targeted eight allegations, including the Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation case, in which Kim was suspected of being involved.

The Chae Sang-byung Special Prosecutor Act seeks to find out the truth of the allegations of external pressure in the investigation related to the death of a Marine identified by his surname Chae during the search for missing persons in July last year.

The main content of the amendment to the Local Currency Act is to change the financial support necessary for the operation of local love gift certificates to the state and local governments from the nature of their existing discretion to obligations.
