Innovation Party promotes a power dispute over 'President Yoon's right to demand reconsideration'

The Cho Kuk Innovation Party has decided to push for a power dispute trial, saying that President Yoon Suk Yeol's exercise of the right to demand reconsideration on a series of opposition-led bills violated the legislative power of the National Assembly.

Rep. Park Eun-jung of the Innovation Party submitted a request to the National Assembly Secretariat and the Constitutional Court to request a competent dispute trial in the name of the 22nd National Assembly.

Representative Park explained that the Constitutional Court previously dismissed a similar claim on the grounds that "individual lawmakers have no regulations to claim the authority of the entire National Assembly," so it is pushing for a claim in the name of the entire National Assembly.
