Inland temperatures, including Seoul, fell to around 10 degrees Celsius, the lowest this fall, and the wind chill plunged to below zero in mountainous Gangwon Province.

The 18th typhoon 'Kuraton', which developed into a super-strong typhoon, is expected to weaken after hitting Taiwan, so it is not expected to have a direct impact on Korea.

By the end of September, the weather like summer had changed rapidly with the start of October. The cold air of

dropped significantly by more than 10 degrees due to the southward drop in temperature, and this time the seasonal clock has outpaced the autumn weather by more than 15 days at this time of the year.

The morning temperature in Seoul dropped nearly 10 degrees from the previous day to 11.6 degrees, while the temperature in Paju and Cheorwon plummeted to single digits.

It is the coldest weather this fall.

In particular, mountainous Gangwon, such as Mt. Seorak, saw the temperature drop to minus 7 degrees Celsius while the temperature dropped close to zero degrees Celsius.

In particular, there were many places that did not exceed 20 degrees due to strong chilly winds even during the day.

This colder weather than usual will continue until the National Foundation Day holiday.

[Lee Sang-jin / Korea Meteorological Administration Forecaster: As cold air moves south from the northwest, daytime temperatures will be as low as around 20 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country until Thursday, the 3rd, and it will be chilly due to wind.]

Meanwhile, the super-powerful typhoon 'Kuraton', which was feared to move northward to the Korean Peninsula, is expected to weaken rapidly as it passes through Taiwan.

Therefore, there will be no direct impact from typhoons in Korea.

However, between the hot air in the south and cold air in the north during the stepping-stone holiday, the southeastern region will see rain and high waves at sea,
After
, rain clouds left by typhoons are expected to move along the southern coast of China and then approach the Korean Peninsula, acting as a variable for weather over the weekend and next week.
