Junji Ito, a master of Japanese horror cartoons, probably know those in their 30s and 40s who grew up watching cartoons.

A domestic exhibition featuring a bizarre but attractive world of works became popular even among Generation Z, and even Junji Ito's "fan meeting" was held, which was over sixty.

Ito Junji Exhibition Hall, full of creepy scenes from the 1999 work 'The Swirl'.In an atmosphere of

, the experience space, which is the core of this exhibition, begins with a guide to 'give up halfway'.

"There's an alarm bell on the right side for giving up viewing."

The spectators who grab the rope and go into the dark.

Screaming from the start,

"Surprised! I'm sorry."

I can't relax for a moment by the bizarre sound that filled the space.

I also finished the experience safely without giving up.

There were not a few elements that could only be recognized by the so-called "true fans," but that didn't seem very important to the visitors.

[Lee So-young / Audience: I've only heard the name and seen it through an online article, but looking at it like this, I can see that Junji Ito is a writer who does these cartoons..]

[KIM DONG WOO / Visitors: If you're interested in horror movies, I think it's a fun exhibition if you come here at least once]

From long-time fans to the younger generation out of curiosity, the exhibition attracted more than 90,000 visitors for three months.

The exhibition was extended for another two months as fans expressed regret that even he failed to make a reservation.

Furthermore, when additional exhibitions in Busan were decided, Junji Ito also visited Korea for the first time in 10 years.

It took less than a minute for the first "fan meeting" in Korea to sell out tickets for more than 100 seats.

[Junji Ito / Horror Cartoonist (Last month, 27th): I received a warm welcome from my Korean fans! I'd like to say that.]

{Tomie}, his debut film, which he picked as his 'favorite character', was drawn directly in front of the fans and thanked him.

[Junji Ito / Horror cartoonist (last month 27th): I think horror cartoons are fun because they are not only beautiful but also gross....]

Junji Ito, who was considered a writer of memories at that time.

As SNS has narrowed the gap between generations and the non-mainstream genre has become one of the interesting contents, it is enjoying steady popularity even after the 60th birthday.
