If you see 'this' in the mountains, don't touch it...Seoul to spray rabies drugs
Seoul City
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will spray 37,000 rabies bait prevention drugs around major mountains and rivers by the 28th.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 14th, in order to prevent rabies, a common infectious disease that spreads through wild animals such as raccoons, mountains such as Bukhansan Mountain, Dobongsan Mountain, Suraksan Mountain, and Bulamsan Mountain, rivers such as Yangjae Stream, Tancheon Stream, and Anyangcheon Stream, where raccoons often appear, and to spray rabies bait prevention drugs in parks with many complaints.

Approximately 2 to 3 cm square-shaped rabies bait prevention drugs were made by putting a prophylactic vaccine inside the fish cake dough to attract wildlife. When animals eat, the vaccine is absorbed through the mucous membrane of the gums to form immunity.

Preventive drugs are sprayed in the form of 157km blocking bands at 50 to 100m intervals along the Seoul border to prevent the virus from entering the city.

Do not touch bait prevention medications if you find them while hiking. This is because if a person touches it, it may cause body odor and wildlife may not eat it.

Banners and warnings will be attached to the spraying point to guide citizens not to touch them.

Preventive drugs are products that have been proven to be safe in more than 50 species of animals, including dogs and cats, and are not dangerous even if pets eat them. In order to obtain an accurate rabies prevention effect on companion animals, it is necessary to get a rabies vaccine for companion animals at an animal hospital.
