"Hyun Joo-yeop's school violence" informant's lawyer is not guilty of attempted coercion...dismissal of the application for adjudication

The court decided that there was no problem with the prosecution's non-prosecution of a lawyer accused of attempted coercion by Hyun Joo-yeop, a former basketball player.

The Seoul High Court rejected Hyun's application on the 10th.

The court judged that it was difficult to say that the prosecution's non-prosecution against lawyer Lee was unfair only with the data submitted by Hyun.

Earlier in March 2021, Hyun sued A for defamation, saying it was not true when his junior A revealed his alleged school violence.

Hyun filed a complaint against A on charges of attempted coercion and defamation, saying that lawyer Lee, A's agent, exposed false information and forced him to cancel the complaint, but appealed against the prosecution's decision not to indict him.

However, when the prosecution's re-investigation was not prosecuted again, Hyun filed a ruling with the court, asking for a second judgment on whether to file a prosecution.
