Chinese military's Taiwan lockdown training, how is it going this time?

[Reporter]
The training was announced at 5 a.m. local time today through the official social media account of the eastern Chinese military. In the name of a spokesman for Rishi

, he announced that he would begin 'Union Regen-2024B Practice', which means 'sharp knife'.

It has also released training maps, including Jinman Island and the Matsu Islands, which surround Taiwan and are close to the mainland of China.

Training videos containing maneuvers of army, navy, air, and rocket forces are also being uploaded one after another.

Liaoning aircraft carriers have also been deployed, and there is a possibility that bilateral aircraft carrier training will be conducted to the Shandong ship, which recently docked together in Hainan, southern China.

The Chinese military will check its combat capabilities, including blocking major ports and taking control, but it has not yet been disclosed how long the training will take place.

It's been five months since the new President Leichtinger took office in May, right?

[Reporter]
Earlier on May 20, the Chinese military conducted a similar exercise shortly after President Lei Ching-deh's inauguration speech.

It's the so-called "Yonhap Regen-2024A Practice."

At that time, it was also implied that if independent provocations did not stop, it could lead to B or C training.

The Eastern Bloc stressed that the exercise is also a legitimate act to protect national sovereignty and unification, giving a strong shock and fear to Taiwan's independence-splitting forces.

This is why it is said that President Lai aimed at the so-called "two-state theory" in a speech commemorating Taiwan's National Foundation Day on the 10th.

At the time, President Lai stressed that China had no right to represent Taiwan and that the two sides were not subjugated to each other.

How is Taiwan responding?

[Reporter]
Taiwan's military said it would protect liberal democracy in real action and responded by sending troops in line with regulations.

Then, President Rai's speech on the 10th sought to maintain the status quo of cross-strait relations and co-prosperity, refuting that the provocation said by the Communist Party was completely different from the truth.

He also pointed out that the rising tensions in the Taiwan Strait are due to China's irrational provocations and constant threats.

The U.S. State Department has also issued a statement saying it is deeply concerned about the Chinese military's siege exercises.

Together with allies and allies, he urged them to refrain from doing anything that could harm peace and stability in the Strait of Thailand, saying he would keep an eye on the Chinese military's movements.
