Fireman sentenced to prison for 'writing false official documents' of Osong disaster

The Cheongju District Prosecutors' Office demanded two years in prison and a year and a half in prison for former Cheongju West Fire Station chief A and preventive safety chief B, who were indicted on charges of writing false official documents in connection with the Osong Underpass disaster in which 14 victims occurred.

Earlier, the prosecution handed over 30 people responsible for the accident, including the head of the temporary levee construction site and officials from the Administrative Complex City Construction Office and the Geumgang River Basin Environment Agency, to trial in connection with the Osong disaster.
