Suwon City Appoints Hyun Geun-taek as Second Deputy Mayor

Suwon City announced that lawyer Hyun Geun-taek (53) took office as the 7th second vice mayor.

The term of office of the current second vice mayor is two years.

The current second vice mayor has been a lawyer since passing the 43rd bar exam, and has been a vice president of the Democratic Research Institute, vice chairman of the policy committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, and a full-time deputy spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea.

He prepared to run in Seongnam's Jungwon district in the last general election, but declared that he would not run after being sued for sexual harassment by A, a female secretary of Lee Seok-joo, a candidate for the Democratic Party's Seongnam Jungwon district election, at a civic group year-end party in December last year.
