Unification Minister meets EU Human Rights Representative...Discussion on the Promotion of Human Rights in North Korea

Unification Minister Kim Young-ho met with European Union Special Representative for Human Rights Olof Skook and shared opinions on the government's unification policy and human rights in North Korea, the ministry said.

Minister Kim thanked the European Union for its efforts to play an important role in publicizing North Korean human rights issues on the international stage, including the United Nations, and asked for attention and support for our government's unification policy.

Mr. Scook said he sympathized with the South Korean government's unification policy and said he would not forget the situation facing North Koreans in the future and make an active voice so that they could be protected.
