China has launched its third show of force to surround Taiwan under the pretext of President Lai Ching-de's National Day speech, which emphasized "two countries."

The Taiwanese military also dispatched a response force to defend freedom and democracy.

At dawn, a launch vehicle carrying multiple rockets turns on its headlights and maneuvers to the operational area.

At the air base, fighter jets and early warning aircraft fly up the runway.

Warships crossing the waves into the Taiwan Strait and China's first aircraft carrier Liaoning were also deployed.

At 5 a.m., the Chinese military announced that it had entered the "Yonhap Regen-2024B Exercise," which means "sharp sword."

The "two-state theory" emphasized by Taiwanese President Lei Ching-de in his speech on the 10th was an excuse.

[Taiwan President]: The Republic of China (Taiwan) is not subordinate to the People's Republic of China (China). The People's Republic of China has no right to represent Taiwan.]

The training map released by the Chinese military included the main island of Taiwan as well as the annexed islands close to mainland China.

A total of three lockdown exercises have taken place, including just after President Rai's inauguration in May.

Combining the training areas, Taiwan is tightly surrounded, and the siege is getting narrower.

[Maoning / Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Taiwan independence and peace in the Taiwan Strait cannot mix like water and fire, and the provocations of Taiwan's independent forces will surely be met with counterattacks.]

The Taiwanese military dispatched a response force to protect freedom and democracy by actual action.

[Wu Jiaoshe / Secretary of the Taiwan National Security Council: We believe that our Armed Forces will respond appropriately to the threat of China. I hope the people will feel safe.]

The United States, which faces a presidential election next month, also expressed deep concern over rising military tensions in the Taiwan Strait and the Korean Peninsula at the same time, calling for restraint.
