A survey showed that the public's willingness to marry and give birth has increased amid the nation's low birth rate problem.

However, it was found that there was a slight difference in perception by generation and gender.

Let's take a closer look at the research.

In Korea, the problem of low birth rate is so serious that the total fertility rate per childbearing woman is only 0.7.

On the basis of that, there must also be the perception of people who are passive in marriage and childbirth for many reasons.

According to a survey conducted by the Low Fertility and Aging Society Committee, the public's willingness to marry and give birth has increased.

This is the result of a survey of 2,592 people aged 25 to 49 across the country from August 31 to the 7th of last month.

65.4% said they were willing to marry, up 4.4 percentage points from the survey conducted in March.

However, if you divide it by generation and gender, you can see a little difference.

In the case of women in their 30s, their intentions increased by more than 10 percentage points, but there was little difference between men in their 30s and men in their 40s decreased slightly.

Among those who do not have children, the number of respondents who are willing to have children also increased by more than 5 percentage points from the survey in March.

The number of people in their 30s and 40s who answered that they were willing to give birth decreased.

First of all, it is positive that I want to get married and have children.

As there are variations according to specific generations and genders, more policies that can change the perception of the public as a whole should be implemented.
