Lee Chan-hee, chairman of Samsung's compliance monitoring committee, stressed the need to rebuild Samsung's control tower, which has disappeared since the Future Strategy Office, and Lee Jae-yong's registered executives.

Chairman Lee said in his 2023 annual report today (15th) that there should be innovative governance improvements, such as rebuilding a control tower to choose and focus management judgment and returning the CEO to registered executives.

Chairman Lee said Samsung is on a beleaguered path, including rapidly changing economic conditions at home and abroad, and argued that management should also change drastically for survival and growth.

He then urged Samsung to instill pride and confidence in its members again, saying that if any declaration of Samsung in the past is not in line with the times, it should be boldly discarded and the fear of judicial risk should be confidently escaped.
