Analysts say North Korea can make 80 to 200 more nuclear warheads and more than double the current number.

The Royal Joint Military Research Institute, a British think tank, recently analyzed this in a report titled "North Korea's Fissile Material and Nuclear Power Structure."

The institute estimated that North Korea will make at least 25 strategic hydrogen bombs and up to 35 by 2026, when the U.S. missile defense is expanded, targeting the U.S.

It then predicted that 51 to 165 nuclear warheads for short-range missiles will be produced, with a total of 80 to 200 nuclear weapons, targeting nuclear-free enemies such as South Korea and Japan.

In addition, considering North Korea's nuclear material reserves, it is estimated that more than 20 hydrogen bombs have already been made.

The institute evaluates that North Korea's fissile material reserves are sufficient to achieve this goal and says it is likely to continue producing more nuclear material like other nuclear powers.

Earlier, the Korea Institute of Defense estimated that North Korea possessed 80 to 90 nuclear warheads, and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute in Sweden estimated 50.
