The National Human Rights Commission of Korea judged that Park Young-soon's remarks at the time of the Democratic Party of Korea, who insulted another lawmaker in a parliamentary interpellation session last year, were a violation of human rights.

He also said he recommended that the National Assembly speaker come up with measures such as promptly starting disciplinary procedures if lawmakers make insulting remarks.

Former lawmaker Park became controversial in September last year when he told then lawmaker Tae Young-ho of People's Power that "trash came from North Korea."

The National Human Rights Commission added that the former lawmaker Park, who is in charge of the National Assembly, is not currently a member of the National Assembly, so he only takes recommendations.
