Prosecutors seek life imprisonment in additional trial for charter fraud 'architecture king'

Prosecutors have asked for life imprisonment in an additional trial on the so-called architectural king, the main culprit of the Incheon charter fraud.


The Incheon District Prosecutors' Office today (17th) sought life imprisonment and requested 34.3 billion won in additional charges in the final trial of Mr. Nam, who was indicted on charges of fraud and other charges.

In addition, 30 accomplices, including Nam's daughter and a licensed real estate agent, were sentenced to 2 to 10 years in prison, respectively.

Prosecutors said more than 300 victims were killed last year, and that they should raise the alarm about the method of illegal transactions conducted in a systematic manner.Mr.

Nam and others were indicted twice on charges of stealing a deposit of 45.3 billion won from 563 people in one year and four months from March 2021.

Earlier, Nam was sentenced to 15 years in prison, the highest court sentence, in the first trial of another case accused of charter fraud, but was reduced to 7 years in prison at the appeal trial, and the prosecution has appealed.
