Farage Aerospace launches 'sea launch' quasi-orbit test launch next year

Farage Aerospace, a South Korean space company that was preparing to launch a sea launch on Jeju Island, said it will postpone the quasi-orbit test until early next year.

Ferridge Aerospace said it had planned to test-fire its own quasi-orbit test-launched "Blue Whale (BW) 0.4" in October, but that it would postpone it after complements were found in the final rehearsal phase.

Ferridge explained that he estimates that the test projectile was exposed to the sea environment for more than five months and was less durable due to repeated engine ignition tests.

It added that after supplementing the stability of the launch, it will re-promote the test launch in the first quarter of next year in consideration of the external environment such as optimal weather conditions.
