Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, said the prosecution's request for a search warrant for Kim Gun-hee was related to the alleged sponsorship of Kobana Content.

Asked at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee this morning (18th), whether it was correct that he did not request a search warrant for Deutsche Motors, Lee replied, "Formally, he is right."

He also explained that the investigation team's request for a search warrant for Kim's residence and mobile phone in 2020 was about allegations that Kim's exhibition agency received preferential sponsorship from large companies.

Regarding the Deutsche case investigation team's explanation at a briefing yesterday (16th) that "they requested a search warrant once, but it was rejected," he said, "It's not a lie," citing the prosecution's simultaneous investigation of both cases.

Regarding the criticism that the prosecution had poorly investigated the luxury bag case and the alleged manipulation of Deutsche Motors' stock price, he refuted, saying, "I think we put our heads together with the investigation team and investigated it properly according to evidence and legal principles."

Earlier, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office asked a reporter yesterday if there was a forced investigation into the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, explaining the reason for the non-prosecution.
