Police staff 'sneak' about 500 lost transportation cards...Give me 8 million won.

An administrative employee working at a police station has been handed over to prosecutors on charges of stealing the balance of hundreds of transportation cards received as lost items.

In July, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul sent a woman in her 50s on charges of embezzlement.

Mr. A is accused of stealing 8 million won in charges from 500 transportation cards received as lost items over the years while working in charge of lost items in the crime prevention and response order department at Dongjak Police Station in Seoul.

A's crime was discovered in March this year when a citizen who lost his transportation card reported to the police that the money had been withdrawn through the app.
