A city councilor in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, assaulted the standing chairman for limiting the time to speak, causing a stir.

Representative Kim, a member of the Gunsan City Council's Economic Construction Committee, was found to have slapped Chairman A once in the face in the lounge of the council this morning (18th).

Rep. Kim reportedly acted unexpectedly after Chairman A declared a adjournment, holding back his remarks during a questioning with Gunsan City's port and maritime affairs.

Chairman A plans to refer Representative Kim to the Ethics Committee and file a criminal complaint.
