Trump asks media tycoon Murdoch to help him win presidential election
Former U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has asked media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, who has Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, to help him win the presidential election.

According to the British daily Financial Times on the 19th local time, former President Trump appeared on a Fox News talk show the day before and said, "I will ask Murdoch for something very simple," and that he would ask him not to run negative advertisements for 21 days.

As the presidential election day is just around the corner, it is a request not to run negative ads that could hurt his re-election campaign.

Former President Trump has maintained a strong relationship by regularly appearing on conservative media Fox News during his tenure.

However, Murdoch was also said to have distanced himself, saying he wanted to ignore Trump after the storming of the Capitol by supporters of Trump who objected to the results of the presidential election in January 2021.

Former President Trump's comments come as Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris has recently increased her media exposure.

Vice President Harris also interviewed conservative Fox News on the 16th, targeting moderate conservative voters.
