It was the coldest this fall, with the morning temperature in Seoul dropping to 9.7 degrees.

Today's rain in the south and Jeju will expand to the whole country tomorrow, and the temperature is expected to fall even lower than today after the rain stops. Reporter Kim Minkyung!

It's quite chilly on the way to work today, how much has the temperature dropped from yesterday?

[Reporter]
Yes, the lowest temperature in Seoul today was 9.7 degrees, 0.8 degrees lower than yesterday.

It was the lowest this fall, falling below 10 degrees for the first time.

The coldest place in the country is Mt. Seorak in Yangyang, Gangwon-do, where temperatures have dropped to minus 0.2 degrees Celsius,

The central part of the country, including 4.1 degrees in iron, 6 degrees in Paju, and 8.5 degrees in Daejeon, plunged below 10 degrees.

This is because cold air with an upper temperature of minus 10 degrees Celsius goes south, and strong winds are added to radiant cooling overnight.

Even in the middle of the day, the chilly autumn weather is expected to continue at 20 degrees in Seoul and 23 degrees in Gwangju.

Tomorrow, the temperature will be similar to or slightly higher than usual due to rain across the country, but
After the rain stops the day after
, the daytime temperature is expected to drop by 5 degrees from today as cold air comes down from the north again.

There's also a forecast for rain, is it falling as much as last Friday?

[Reporter]
Yes, it will rain in Jeju Island and the south today due to the influence of the southern pressure trough,

Tomorrow, low pressure will flow from the west and rain will spread across the country.

Fortunately, the strength of the low pressure is expected to be weaker than last Friday.

However, Jeju Island and the southern coast, which are affected by both at the same time, are expected to receive some heavy rain this time.

From today to the day after tomorrow, Jeju Island will receive up to 120mm of rain, more than 100mm on the southern coast, and 80mm on the southern inland,

A maximum of 60mm is expected in the central part from tomorrow to the day after tomorrow.

In particular, during the rain between this afternoon and tomorrow, Jeju Island is likely to have strong rain concentrated at 30 to 50 millimeters per hour, and in the south, 20 to 30 millimeters per hour, so caution is needed.

Rain will mostly stop at dawn the day after tomorrow, and some inland areas are expected to continue into the morning.

We should be careful of both rain and strong winds.

Strong winds of 15 to 20 meters per second are expected on the west coast from tomorrow night and in most parts of the country the day after tomorrow.
