When Jang Dong-hyuk, a member of the National Assembly's legal and judicial committee, was put on trial for reducing his assets ahead of the last general election, he applied to evade the parliamentary audit of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, but it was not accepted.

Representative Jang said in court that the prosecution's prosecution was unfair, but he filed for self-avoidance, saying that inquiring at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, which will lead the maintenance of the prosecution, could lead to conflicts of interest.

However, Chung Chung-rae, chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the Democratic Party, refused to accept Jang's reduction of his assets worth 30 million won, saying the ruling and opposition parties shared the opinion that the prosecution prosecuted him excessively.

He then said, "Whenever there is an unreasonable prosecution by the prosecution, it is a matter to think about whether the members of the judiciary should avoid it," adding, "If lawmaker Jang wants to avoid the parliamentary inspection, there is also a way to resign or resign from the committee."
