Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol met with British Foreign Minister David Lammy and stressed the need for bilateral cooperation in a stricter security environment, including North Korea's recent deployment to Ukraine.

At the Foreign Minister's Political Dialogue held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, Cho said the two countries should cooperate as strategic partners in a geopolitical environment where security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region is increasingly intertwined, as shown by the recent dispatch of North Korean troops.

At the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to cooperate in various fields, including diplomacy, security and economy, focusing on the main contents of the "Korea-U.K. Downing Street Agreement" signed on the occasion of President Yoon's visit to Britain last year.
